Tooth Whitening
(In-office & Take Home)
A smile is generally the first thing you notice about someone, so why not make it your best asset. At Picnic Point Dental Clinic, we offer an in-office whitening and a take-home teeth whitening kit.

For an In-office or In-chair option we use the Zoom Whitening System®.
Zoom whitening® is a popular method of teeth whitening because it takes very little time to work and is effective for most people. Extensive research and clinical studies indicate that whitening teeth under the supervision of a dentist is safe. In fact, many dentists consider whitening the safest cosmetic dental procedure available.
The Zoom!® In-Office Whitening System uses proprietary technology to whiten your teeth an average of eight shades (individual results may vary) in about one hour while you relax at your dentist’s office. Zoom!® is a revolutionary tooth whitening procedure. It’s safe effective and fast.

At your first appointment, Our clinical team will take impressions of your teeth that are used to make your custom mouth trays. The special whitening gel is inserted in the trays and is worn for 60-90mins per day, for 7-10days. We recommend that you have your teeth checked and cleaned prior to starting your teeth whitening treatment to ensure there are no cavities present for best results. Whitening whilst you have an existing cavity can cause discomfort. Great results occur for the majority of people, but it is important to consider any existing dental work you currently have, as fillings and crowns will not change colour.

With Philips Zoom, your teeth will be visibly whiter in one day. With Zoom in-office, you will achieve up to eight shades whiter in 45 minutes. With Zoom at-home, when used as instructed, you will achieve the same great results in one-two weeks, depending on concentration of formulation and wear time you select.

Veneers are a very thin facing that is sealed permanently to the front of your teeth to enhance their aesthetic appeal. Veneers are becoming an increasingly popular option for patients whose teeth are chipped, small, discoloured or have gaps between them

Crowns & Bridges

Dental crowns are generally used to restore broken or badly damaged teeth. Crowns are also recommended to strengthen cracked or root-filled teeth. Essentially, a crown is like a cap that fits over the top of your tooth. Crowns can be made of Ceramic, Zirconia (tooth coloured metal) or Gold. Crowns can be matched to your adjacent teeth and resemble a natural tooth.

A bridge aims to restore your smile, improve function and maintain the shape of your face by placing a crown on each adjacent tooth to the gap, with a bonded tooth in the middle. Usually made in a porcelain material, a dental bridge can be blended in with your smile to give the appearance of natural teeth.

Worn down Dentition

Worn down teeth could be due to many years of teeth grinding and/or acidic erosion. While these teeth may be heavily damaged, often they still can be fixed using durable restorations to restore them to their original height and appearance.

There are a number of dental materials and options available to achieve this. By combining expertise and a lot of experience, our team at Picnic Point Dental Clinic can recommend the best option to provide you with the desired long-term result.

Your help in the management of teeth grinding or acidic erosion is paramount to the long-term success of this treatment. We will help you to identify the cause for your teeth becoming worn down, but we need your help to control these factors in the long run.

Without such control, no dental treatment is expected to last irrespective of what material was used and how well it was made.

Smile Makeover

A Cosmetic Smile Makeover is the Art of designing a new enhanced and aesthetically improved Smile.  Our Technology, experience and state of the art advanced systems ensure that we can create beautiful, natural looking teeth and smiles.
Our clinical team have a passion for Cosmetic Dentistry.  We have treated many cosmetic cases and have always stayed up-to-date with the latest advancements in the field of Cosmetic Dentistry.  Whether you’re after a natural subtle enhancement, or a Celebrity Smile design with veneers, at Picnic Point Dental Clinic we promise you a beautiful smile awaits.

To improve your smile, a tailor-made smile design must take place first as a trial-run before receiving the end result. This design can be made in one of three ways: digitally on a computer; carefully hand-crafted in your mouth using tooth-coloured fillings; hand-crafted outside the mouth on a duplicate model of your teeth using wax. Just like you would need a blue-print to build your house, this smile design process is our blue-print to create your smile. You are able to see and feel what your final smile would look like before any irreversible treatments are carried out. This gives you and us the control and confidence in knowing you are getting exactly what you want.

By combining expertise, artistry and experience, Our clinical team can then recommend different materials and options to provide you with the best choice for each tooth to achieve your dream smile.

To ensure you are happy with your final smile, we adhere strictly to our protocol which gives you and us ultimate control and a visualised outcome every step of the way. You get to see your final smile over 3 key stages (as mentioned above) before your treatment is completed. This is just one of the reasons why we are able to achieve your desired result every time.

Smiles Makeovers use a combination of Dental Veneers, Crowns, Teeth Alignment, Teeth Whitening, Dental Implants or Fixed Bridges, Gum re-contouring and Laser Technology to Redesign the smile.
