Emergency Dentistry

Do you need an emergency dentist? Call us today for an urgent appointment.

Dental emergencies can occur at any time and because of this, we at Picnic Point Dental Clinic offer evening and weekend appointments throughout the week.
Emergencies can be distressing and we aim to help you be prepared so that you know what to do if an emergency happens. How you react in the minutes following a dental emergency may determine if you keep or lose your tooth.

We understand that patients who are genuinely in a dental emergency need priority attention. That’s why we try to keep some space available in the appointment books every day for patients requiring an emergency dentist.

At Picnic Point Dental Clinic, our dentists are available seven days a week, with our Clinic open Sundays, evenings and public holidays which makes it easier for patients requiring emergency treatment to get an appointment when they need one.

Emergency Dentist treatments can include

  • Toothaches
  • A chipped or broken tooth
  • A tooth being knocked out
  • Denture repairs
  • Sports injuries.

What to do if a tooth is knocked out?
If the tooth is clean – place it straight back in the socket. The tooth should be gripped by its upper end (the crown) not by the root.
If the tooth is dirty – wash the tooth in milk or have the patient gently suck it clean before placing it back in the socket
If it can’t be replaced – wrap the tooth in plastic wrap or store it in milk.

Visit Picnic Point Dental Clinic immediately for an emergency dentist appointment. The tooth should be replaced as soon as possible.

The cost of your emergency dental appointment will vary depending upon your individual dental needs. Your dentist will discuss the expected costs with you at the time of your appointment.

If you or a family member are in dental pain or in need of an emergency Dentist, contact Picnic Point Dental Clinic today for an urgent care appointment.

Public holidays will include additional surcharges. Call us to find out more.

  • Root canal treatment – The use of laser dentistry for root canal treatment means that any canal shaping and cleaning is carried out using less invasive techniques. For dental patients in Panania, NSW this means less discomfort and post-operative swelling.
  • Treating gummy smiles – Gum contouring using laser dentistry means that patients in Panania NSW receive treatment that is virtually pain-free. We utilise a soft-tissue diode laser to remove any excess gum tissue, but at the same time, it reseals the area. This means a bloodless procedure where healing is quick – usually within 1-2 days.
